Question:

Cheap cure for a shiny nose?

I wear powder foundation, and after I first put it on during the day it works fine...but a few hours into the day my nose is SUPER shiny. The rest of my face is fine, I have no problems whatsoever...just my nose. This happens even if I don't wear makeup too, it's just that reapplying makeup over my nose during the day helps verrrry temporarily.

I don't want to have to spend 20 bucks on something to conceal the oiliness, so is there anything relatively cheap that I can buy to put on under my makeup so this won't happen?

  1. use blotting papers - they're pretty cheap and you can buy them at the supermarkets, some pharmacies and online stores. They absorb the oil on your skin without ruining your make-up (:

  2. This is going to sound crazy...but use a toilet seat cover.

If you dab any oily area with a piece of the tissue paper paper, it will quickly absorb the oil. May celebrities use this trick & it's free at your local public restroom. Doesn't get any cheaper than that!

  3. i would suggest using toothpaste.

i use it to dry out pimples and it works.

try a "tooth paste" mask on your nose one night and in the morning your nose will not have as much shine or oilyness

  4. There are oil absorbing sheets that do the trick, and some even have powder to reduce shinyness. They're relatively cheap. I'm not sure of the exact brand, but you can find them at Ulta.

  5. i know you said you don't want to pay 20 bucks, but this is such a good product i thought i'd suggest it.

Arbonne sells a Personalizer. it is a green compact that you can put under and/or over your makeup throughout the day to cut back on redness and oiliness. it is the most amazing product! and because arbonne makes it with other natural elements, the more you use it the better your skin is. after a while you'll notice that you will be puting it on less and less during the day. it might be a little expensive, but it will pay for its self, rather than buying several drugstore products that you only use a few times and realize that they don't work.

    hope this helps.

  6. Try Clean and Clear Oil Blotting Papers. The one that's in the blue packaging. It wont' disturb makeup :)

  7. you could buy those blotting sheets from like neutrogena

theyre not that expensive and they take the shine away pretty well

and you can use them even after youve put on makeup

if you want to go even cheaper you could take a tissue and split it in half so you have 2 thin sheets and use one as a blotting sheet

  8. do not use make-up.use oil blotting sheets,u can find them at CVS

  9. Oil Absorbing Sheets!

  10. idk what u can put under ur make-up. but clean and clear makes oil blotting sheets. there AMAZING! just blot around ur nose and it will remove oil with out taking ur make-up off. they're supper cheap too. u can find them in any drugstore. they like 5 bucks for 50 sheets and sometime even come with free gifts!
