Cheap day return train tickets from Nottingham to London?

Hiya. Can someone please tell me the best website to get 2 cheap day return train tickets from Nottingham to London. I was hoping to go on Sat 23rd Feb. I've heard if you book in advance then you could save money.

Isit cheaper to go during the week? If so then we could book a day off.

There used to be an advert for £7 tickets (or around that) but I think that was Midland Mainline which isn't around now.

Also, I'm not sure which station in London would be the best to arrive at. I'd like to know the most central please.

I always use www.thetrainline.com to book tickets. They are as good as any of the on line sites. Yes, you can save money by booking in advance, but it does depend on how flexible you are prepared to be about the time of travel. For example, the saver return is £50 (any day) but sometimes you can save by buying singles. There are some available for as little as £18 each way, but you are limited as the trains you can travel on, (but there are a few available on a limited number of trains  both on 23 February and the following week) whilst the savers allow the use of any train (except rush hours ones). Your train services are now provided by East Midland trains (http://www.eastmidlandstrains.co.uk/EMTr... and I see from looking at that website that they say they have released half a million tickets for travel to London at under  Ã‚£17

You have no option as to which station to travel to. All Nottingham trains go to St. Pancras (International). The days of choice of London termini have long since disappeared. From that station you have a wide choice of underground lines to use. Remember to buy a Zone 1 Day travel card rather than separate tickets for each journey - it will save you a lot of money.
