Cheap ebay items?

i'm not a big ebayer, but i see many things for only a few cents.. if is there something i'm missing there? and if i buy one of these items am i going to get scammed?

just watch out for the shipping fees, some sellers try to charge too much for shipping.

Otherwise, its just a way to create interest in the product.

People start things at auction for that low for two reasons: 1.) It is cheaper to list an item if it starts for a lower price.  Anything under .99 is very cheap.  2.) low starts entice more bidders, who will eventually, in theory, drive the price.

What you find is that in some cases, the price is never driven up, and people get a deal.  The seller may depend on repeat sales or a handling price to recover his or her loss.  

In most cases, you are not going to get scammed, you will actually get a deal.  Just make sure you watch their seller ratings and stuff.

Sellers also use that as a way to get cheap easy feedback. Unless that's what you're doing too, I wouldn't expect the product to be quality.

You can find alot of bargins on Ebay but make sure you only buy from someone who has alot of feedback and not just any feedback but positive one! This usually shows up by their name click on it to read what other people say about the seller. If your unsure contact the seller ask questions. Dont buy from people excepting any other payment other then paypal as it is the safest way to pay online and its secure. Always respond to messages from ebay inbox directly as some people who try and scam you will message your personal inbox (yahoo hotmail etc) Otherwise Ebay is a good place! Happy bidding!
