Cheap flights to Mexico city in July?

A friend has been ill for a while and I want to suprise by visiting her in July. My question is - Is it possible to find a cheap flight under £400 to Mexico city return? as everything I find is over £790. Any flight sites much appreciated. thanks

Also I went to Mexico city a couple years ago,  and this is how I got cheap tickets.  I don't know the equivalent in pound sterling, but I paid maybe $400 USD for round trip ticket but I wound up extending my trip and it cost me $100 for the extension but US Air at least honoured my request.

First, I did some research on the internet, all the search engines including expedia, hotwire, travelocity, so on.  I downloaded and printed the cheapest deal I could find.  Then I took it to my travel agent and asked her if she could find anything to match the price.  And she did... this is a trick I learned.
