  1. I don't know where you wish to fly from, but Thomsonfly and Jet2.com have released their flight details for Summer '09.

I personally use Thomsonfly or Easyjet for travel to Spain, and the secret is to book your flights as soon as they are released.   I am going in October, with Easyjet (£63 return) & March '09, with Thomsonfly (£58 return).    Earlier this year, I flew from Bournemouth to Alicante with Thomsonfly, for £43 return , but unfortunately they have since withdrawn from this route.

Easyjet have no fixed date for releasing their flights beyond the end of March '09, but it will pay you to keep looking or register to receive e-mails.

  2. I always use cheapo airlines to go to Murcia and Alicante. You didn't say where from though.

The ones that fly from London airports are:

    www.fly-crown.co.uk

    www.easyjet.co.uk

    www.ryanair.co.uk

Try going to www.skyscanner.net if you are flying from any other airports as this site will tell you all the airlines flying from and to your desired airports.

How much tends to depend on when you book (the more in advance the cheaper) and when you are flying (the more out of season, the cheaper).

However, a little known fact is that Ryanair always have a sale the first Monday of the month so this is the best time to be booking your flight through them.

As to the quality, I tend to prefer Monarch but I also find that if the airports and times are convenient, it is all much of a muchness because it is only a 2 hour flight!

  3. Depends where you are coming from. I live near Alicante and go to Stansted alot, I always use Ryanair or Easyjet. I prefer Easyjet as the baggage allowance is higher (20k as opposed to 15k with Ryan) but Ryan can sometimes be cheaper so it really depends when and why you are flying. If you come and go regularly then I would advise you to go to both websites where you can register to be sent regular updates of up and coming cheapies. This can be very useful if you do not have very fixed dates in mind. The early you book the cheaper they are, and when you see it book it, as the next day it can jump right up. Been there done it!!!

Ryanair only used to fly to Murcia, but now go to Alicante so its handy if you are going in between!!

bmi baby and Monarch also go to Alicante but no good for me cos they dont go to Stansted, so check them out too.

    Good luck.

  4. Ryanair, Eastjet, etc are all ok if you don't want quality as your top priority. First Choice, Monarch etc if you are looking to fly with a bit less worry of noisy passengers and c**p staff lol

  5. I'm flying from Glasgow Prestwick to Murcia at the end of August with Ryanair

There's 2 of us travelling and flights cost £193 which includes 2 items of hold luggage, insurance and priority boarding.

These same flights are now over £300 so you have to keep checking cos now and again you'll get free flights (you still have to pay taxes and charges though)

  6. No one can say how much they will be for next year, but keep checking their sites, even log on to them put your email address on their site and they will send you special info of sales etc., both BMI and Easyjet have specials on now for this August, for Malaga Easyjet have an offer starting at £1 50, and BMI begin at £8 this is only for Malaga I have NOT looked at other airports Malaga is my base..............many companies do not give out prices more than 3 months in advance anyway........................

  7. Easyjet arn't too bad or lastminute.com

  8. Ryanair.com has cheap filights to Alicante and Murcia. I went with Ryaniar to spain last summer and it only cost me £44 taxes, luggage fee included.
