  1. TRY TRAVEL REPUBLIC .had some great deals from them

  2. Rent an apartment directly from the owner, that saves you money and you get a personal service. Have a look at Spain, it's not too long a flight, costs are reasonable and the sun's virtually guaranteed. Have a look at www.holiday-villa-direct.com I have used this site several times.

  3. Hi there.

You're absolutley right when you say that if you travel out of school holidays then it will be cheaper- however, please bear in mind that the Scottish Schools start their holidays from Friday 29th June and they all know that with the Scottish flights going up in price then the flights south of the border are slightly cheaper which means flights from England climb in price as a result. Whenever demand is high, prices go through the roof!

So.. to get the best deal go at least the second or thrid week in June for cheaper flights.

    Try:

    www.easyjet.co.uk

    www.ryanair.co.uk

    www.flyglobespan.com

    www.jet2.com

    www.directholidays.co.uk

And get yourself the best deal you can on flights

Just as an example. I found Luton to Malaga on easyjet 10th June back 17th June for all four seats £409- including taxes

AND Luton to Ibiza out 11th June back 18th June £328 for all 4 of you. I didn't look very hard- and I only checked Easyjet- you might find cheaper if you spend time searching :-)

The cheaper your flight, the more you have to spend on your accomodation- buy the best quality accomodation you can and don't forget you have to eat and drink too- so consider a good deal on all-inclusive or half board- the spending money will go further- remember, you have teenagers with you and they eat and drink a whole LOT.

Then, for transfers and accomodation, go to

    www.medhotels.com

    www.holidaybrokers.co.uk

If you book self catering it'll be cheaper as you're paying for the unit and not per person. But do look at the hotels too or the apts with food options- you might save a lot of money!

I found a 2 x bedroomed apt at Vime de Campanario- Nerja (Costa Del Sol) remember thats a 2 bedroomed apt not just a 1 x bed for £250 for 4 of you. You'd need transfers but I'd suggest you hire a car for the week- it's more flexible and won't cost the earth!

    OR

The Playa Sol in Playa d'en Bossa- Ibiza for £260 that was in a 1 bedroomed apt for all 4 of you. A Taxi from the airport to Playa D'en Bossa will cost you around £15 each way.

There were some really cheap studios in San Antonio Ibiza- great for the kids, but pretty rough for the adults!

Obviously, it depends on where you want to go and how much you've got to spend but it can definitley be done on a tight budget.

Also bear in mind night flights and mid-week flights are much cheaper than day flights at a weekend, inland view rooms cheaper than sea view and the quieter resorts are also cheaper but might not be so good for the teenagers.

I'd also say that www.tripadvisor.com is best for reviews- Holidays Uncovered are a little out of date on many properties.

I'm sure you can do it- and whatever you choose, I hope you have a cracking time!

All the very best of luck!
