Cheap holiday suggestions in the UK?

My partner and i are looking for somewhere to go away for 2 or 3 nights (Sat-Tues) in mid-late September. We are on a very tight budget of £100 each give or take a few pounds , preferably within 3 hours drive of Manchester area (to save on petrol).

Any suggestions?

  1. Blackpool. B n b is around 18 a night each,plenty to do,fun and easy to get to

  2. That's £200 overall.  So say you keep £60 for things to do, like eating , a drink or 2 , visiting some place that you're interested in and petrol - staying within 2 hours.

That's your budget fixed [ and heck if you like something and need more money , just find a way to get it ].

Then you've got to have somewhere to stay. This site has great bargains inside 28 days [ last minute offers ] and prices in late September will be lower as it's off peak. £30 -40 is possible, and sometimes you will find places with breakfast , failities and amenities included.

This website is very useful : http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk

    That's your accommodation sorted out.

What to do - i have no idea what you're interested in - that's up to you folks, but at least you have a budget and somewhere to stay !!

  3. Caravan park in Southport or cheap guest house / B&B in Blackpool?

    Alternatively check out lastminute.co.uk.
