Cheap interface to plug guitar and microphone and record simultaneously?

Question

I want to buy a audio interface that has 2 inputs, one to plug in the guitar and the other to plug in the microphone (for vocals).

I don't really want to spend anything over $30.

Will this do the job?

The audio interface you chose has 2 RCA inputs/outputs! This is fine if you have a mixer, but you cannot directly connect a guitar and microphone to this.

If you are talking about an electric guitar, it is best not to plug your guitar directly into your audio interface, as you are bypassing all the amplifier modelling. If your amp has a Emulated Line out or Headphone output, connect this to your audio interface.

If you are talking about an acoustic guitar, it should be fine to connect it directly to your audio interface. Unfortunately, none of these audio interfaces will come at 30. NOTHING is available at that price.

The mixer probably gives you a little more flexibility, and you can learn how to record better. You can record vocals + guitar simultaneously, but as the other answer said, best do them seperately. Recommendation A will let you record guitar and vocals at the same time, but to seperate tracks, which will give you more flexibility when it's time to edit. It's best not to record two things that once, if you do you can't edit them seperately or mix them seperately.
