Cheap male teacher end of year gift?

I need a good idea for my son's teacher. he is single and we live in a tiny town so a gift cert wouldn't work.

Being a teacher myself I would say the best gift would be a heart felt note/letter expressing yours and your son's appreciation of the time and energy spent teaching your son. Over the years i have forgotten who gave me what cup but I still have all my notes and letters.

Maybe encourage your son ask the teacher who his favorite sports team is.  A bumber sticker, bobble head doll, t-shirt, or widow decal would be perfect and inexpensive.

a cup that says something like 'best teacher' or something teacher related on ti..you can easily pick them up from clintons or hallmark

Doesn't this tiny town have a restaurant?

Get him a certificate for a meal there.

Does this town have a movie theater?

Get him tickets.

Does this town have movie rental place?

Get him a movie.

An awesome present would be a small basket of pens, pencils, post-it notes, a box of tissue, a bottle of hand sanitizer, some glue sticks...

Anything that a teacher needs to run the class day-to-day. Many times we have to buy those things out of our own money and it is so nice to have some sparkling new pens and pencils for the next school year.
