At the moment we are living together in their tiny one bedroom in three weeks we are moving into a 2 bed apt. I'm looking for some cheap but tasty things to make vegi or not doesn't matter..I prefer healthy stuff and well it can be complicated or not as its looking as if I will be doing the cooking and I do it quite well, also we have quite a bit of kitchen stuff and what we don't have can easily get. so I guess I am asking for either some fun recipes you know or a website that is genuine and worth looking at. thanks :)

  1. Spaghetti!! Or wraps - tortilla with turkey, ham or chicken, lettuce, tomato, chz, whatever veggies, mayo or ranch, they are GREAT! Fettucini alfredo is easy, buy one of those bags of chicken everyone else is saying, I fry it in a pan w/butter and seasoning. Make my noodles, add some Ragu alfredo sauce, mozzerella & parmasean chz, and tear up the chicken in little peices. Its yummy and easy.

  2. Buy you a deep fryer, seasoned chicken breader, pack of chicken wings, and some french frys.  You can have a mean in 20 mins.

  3. CHARLIE'S CHEAP CHILI

1 lb. extra lean chopped beef

    1 can peeled tomatoes

    1 can tomato sauce

    1 lg. yellow onions, chopped

    1/2 sm. green pepper, chopped

    1 1/2 tbsp. chili powder

    1 tsp. cumin

Brown the beef and onions in a 12 inch skillet and drain before adding all other ingredients. Simmer for 1-2 hours. Serves 2 with healthy appetites!

    CHEAP ROAST

    3-4 lbs. boneless chuck roast

1 pkg. dry onion soup mix

1 can cream of mushroom soup

Place foil in pan, 2 long strips to more than cover meat. Then place meat, onion soup mix and mushroom soup on top of foil. Cover with foil, making a tent effect. Bake at 300 degrees for 2 to 2 1/2 hours until tender. Good sauce for over potatoes or vegetables.

QUICK & CHEAP HOT DOG CASSEROLE

1 pkg. hot dogs (sliced crosswise)

    1 med. onion

    1 pkg. frozen mixed vegetables

    2 tbsp. butter

    1 1/2 c. minute rice

1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes

    Salt & pepper to taste

Saute onions and hot dogs in butter. While they saute, cook the vegetables (in 1 1/2 cups of water). Add stewed tomatoes to the onions and hot dogs. Add rice to the hot dogs. Add vegetables and water to the hot dogs. Simmer 15 to 20 minutes. Serve with biscuits.

  4. I'll tell you what I know, compadre, from feeding 2-3 people, albeit one miniature person...

    Walmart is your savior.

Bags of frozen skinless, boneless chicken b*****s are 6 each, and carry a good amount in each bag.  Whole-wheat pasta ranges around 1.30 for a box.  Good deal.  Frozen veggies galore, always range around 1.00 - 1.50 a piece.  Eggs.  Yogurt.  Go to a cheap bread store if you have one around, or a Save-A-Lot, stock up on bread, freeze most of it.  It keeps nicely in freezers.  Bags of dry beans, since you're into crock pot creations.. they're cheap, wicked healthy, and low-maintenance.  Stock up on seasonings.  Bouillon (chicken, beef, veggie, whatever) is awesome and an easy way to season anything.

  5. Spaghetti is a very cheap meal. If you want to take the healthy route you could use whole wheat noodles. Also for something different you could have pasta with pesto sauce. A jar of pesto costs around 2 dollars and will last you a long time because you don't have to use much!

  6. try cheap cooking .com they have quite a few recipes on the site and really budget tight too.
