Can a person from say, the USA, take a few cheap polo lessons in Argentina (booked in advance, of cource), while in Argentina?

I'm not sure why you want to do this. . . I think you may just get frustrated.  That's assuming you know how to ride in the first place!

You either have enough money for a polo pony or two in the U.S, and thus can afford lessons on your own pony- or you don't.  Polo is a difficult game to quickly pick up, even for an experienced rider.
