Where can I find the cheapest tickets for the Broadway Musical RENT for two people on September 1st 2008?

Your best bet may be to try the Discount Tickets Booth in Times Square on West 46th St. between Broadway and 8th Ave on the day of the show.  This booth is run by the Theatre Development Fund, (TDF).  Get there as close to  3 pm  as you can.  This is when the windows open, but there will be a line.  The tickets to the more popular shows will go more quickly.

    Note that this is a CASH ONLY booth, so make sure you go to the ATM before then, and withdraw more than you think you need.

    The other option would be trying StubHub or eBay, but there is always the risk of counterfeit tickets.  If you go to the Tickets booth in Times Square, you will not have to worry about counterfeit tickets.
