I need to feed 10 people for under $10 in a sit down restaurant somewhere within walking distance of Grand Central Station (42nd street and Park Avenue).

Any suggestions New Yorkers?

  1. Go downstairs, there are some great inexpensive ones!

  2. Oy veh.  Well there actually is a Junior's cheesecake outlet downstairs in Grand Central that you could satisfy your price restriction in.  Other than that, there are some surrounding fast food joints, but I am assuming you are looking for something a bit more upscale.  Ten dollars in NYC is a tough one, sorry to say.  2nd Avenue Deli just re-opened on 34th and Lexington (approx, google it) and it is reasonable and walking distance.  Have fun and good luck!

  3. On the South West Corner across from Bryant Park is a little deli chain (Pax I think, but not certain) Anyway, you can make your own salad for anywhere from 2.00 and up and then eat them in the park.

You could also go to the Murray's cheese shop downstairs in GC and get and bread, then go to the Park

  4. Muldoon's on Third Avenue and 44th Street - burgers, sandwiches, chicken pot pie, shepard's pie, fish and chips, shrimp in a basket, chicken - all are less than $10.00.  It's a very friendly place
