Cheap student flights?

I am looking for really cheap student flights within the us, i have looked around but cant seem to find anything cheap, just the same old prices or more expensive.

AirTran has a program called "AirTran U" where people between the ages of 18 and 22 can walk up to the ticket counter and list themselves as a standby passenger for a flight. If you get on the airplane, you will be charged $69 per segment (flight) or $99 for long-haul flights.
