Cheap trips in Santo Tomas de Castilla, Guatemala in Nov. '07?

My husband and I are coming into port on a cruise ship. We would like to see some of the country and visit a local market. A tour lasting 3-4 hours would be nice. We are hoping to only spend $20.00 US per person. Thank you.

I would just rent a taxi when the dock comes in, try and find someone that speaks some English.  $20 for BOTH of you would be a good price most likely, maybe $40 if you are doing lots of driving, but 3-4 hrs, $30 seems a bit high.

If you don't speak any Spanish, you can use this:

"Cuanto cobra for un tour de tres horas por dos personas?"

How much do you charge for a three hour tour for two people.

"Queremos ir a un mercado"

We want to go to a market.

"Queremos ir al mercado de artesenia"

We want to go to the tourist souveneir market

"Hemos oido que hay una vaca con dos cabezas aqui cerca, podemos ir a verla?"

We've heard there is a two-headed cow near here, can we go see her?  (Just for fun)
