Best place for cheap cars is Stoodley Car Auctions,  failing that Autotrader or Ebay (set the distance from home address to say 10miles).

All have private cars for sale although Stoodley has ex-rental and ex-company cars. Depending on how much of a hurry you are you could also try the Police auctions as they sometimes have cars for sale.
