Cheap vehicle with great gas mileage.

My work is about 35 miles away from my house and I need a cheap vehicle that can get me there and not cost me a bundle like my old truck.

Golf GTI is diesel and gets about 60mpg is the best bet. Of course there are those Smarts but they arent very safe in opinion.

But with the golf say it has a 10 gallon tank you fill it up being diesel id cost around $50 but get you around 600miles before its empty. As a regular unleaded car gets around 30mpg it cost $80 to get around 600 miles on a 10 gallon tank.
