  1. You're tolerance level is going up the longer/more you drink.  Take a day or two off the sauce!

  2. I think it might be the cheapo brand, I drink Jack Daniels Whiskey offten, and I seem to have to drink more and more for it to take effect, but when I drink another brand of whiskey, 4 or 5 shots and I'm good.

  3. hmm d**n its been a while since i've taken a bio class.

but from what i remember, yes.

you can build a tolerance to any alcohol.

and it does affect your biology by increasing your smooth E.R (which i forgot completely what that has to do with anything)

but to answer your question. yes you can get used to any specific liquor

  4. A person will over time build up a resistance to alcohol. Long term exposure to almost ANYTHING will lead to some type of resistance. It takes, for instance, more and more opium/cocaine/nicotine etc to produce the same effect. If you don't drink very often then you wont be exposed as much and therefore wont require as much alcohol to get drunk. If you drink a lot and are constantly pounding them down then you have to drink more to get drunk. period

  5. if you buy the off brand vodka it will get you drunk

how much do you drink? do you drink it by itself? mix it with something.

do a ballmaker(mixing beer and liquor together)

    see what happens

  6. I just got drunk off of cheap vodka last night. I drank about 400ml and I still can't stand up for too long.

Adapting to certain drinks is one thing, but I do know that different drinks will give you different "types" of drunk.

For example, beer works the fastest for me, and is mostly physical. My body tingles, but I can still make focused decisions.

Whiskey is gradual, but when it kicks in my breathing is impaired, and I do out-of-character things, and there is no tingle in the body, just lightheadedness.

  7. if its cheap vodka i can imagine it doesn't taste the best are you aware it is probably the same or very similar to methylated spirits  as cheap vodka is a low grade ethanol stilled only once unfiltered not having the nasties separated from it when bottled in fact the same ethanol as the fuel company's are selling to put in cars to mix with petrol

(All Bottled Alcohol Is Ethanol with different flavours whisky/rum/vodka/bourbon) METHYLATED SPIRIT exactly the same base ethanol
