  1. Checkout monoprice.com They have excellent quality cables at affordable prices. I've bought many from them and have never been disappointed.

  2. Monster make OK, but nothing special cables. They sell at high price, for glitzy packaging and ads. You can do as well or better for less money.

Budget cables that get good reviews from most consumers can be purchased on-line from monoprice.com (1st link). Good quality cables at a bit higher price can be purchased on-line from Bluejeanscable.com (2nd link is to their HDMI information centre) who also provide a lot of useful information about cables. To give an example, Blue Jeans sell better HDMI cables than even the top monster cable ... and charge much less.

Since you didn't specify which types of cables you will need I suggest you read up on each type at the Blue Jeans site (and others) to learn what matters when. You can then judge what cables can be purchased in a budget brand and what cables you really must buy top quality brands.

The last link is to a good information site re speaker wire. basically, you don't need to buy anything really special.
