Cheaper to fly or take ferrie to santorini? Help?!?

I am going to greece in march and am not sure which transportation to take that will save me money and time?!

It is cheaper to go with the ferry than flying.

The flight is sorter in time while the ferry is more fun as you can see it as taking a small cruise. The ferries are nice and you can have your coffee and your meal on board. Of course if the ferry is full it is not very convenient but you cannot have everything

It's cheaper to fly. And it will save you time too. Ferries are NEVER on time in Greece. I took a trip to a few Greek islands, moving from one island to the next by ferry and the day we moved to the new island was totally wasted, ferries can be even 4 or 5 hours late and they tell you all the time: "No problem, the ferry is coming". No more ferries as far as I'm concerned.

you want to save money, take the ferry.  if you want to save time, take a plane.  in between these two, i would suggest the more faster ferries that are a bit more pricer but worth it.

take the plane, its more expensive but worth it....unless u like cruiseships. a ferry ride usually take between 8 and 13 hours....depending on the boat and how many stops it makes along the way. there are highspeed ferries (which are more expensive than regular ferries, but take 4 to 5 hours) but i doubt theyll be available in the winter. airlines are olympic and aegean...both are decent. flight takes about 45 minutes.
