Not Haiti or some s... island.Not in Mexico.

Affordable for backpackers and budget independent travellers,not dangerous with nice relaxing clean beaches.

The islands of Vieques and Culebra on the eastern caribbean are both affordable and lots of backpacking options. You can go out and find your own private beach and s.

Bonaire N.A.   - between Aruba & Curacao.  It's like Aruba without tourists - Just unspoiled & peaceful.  Very friendly people

Have to agree with the last one! Antigua is a great place. Cheap isn't a good word though, try affordable. And Antigua has hotels and amenities for the super rich celebrity and the mid-income family. So Google it and try to find a nice hotel.
