Cheapest and best place to buy a digital camera in thailand singapore or kuala lumpur??

heading over in few weeks and looking for cheap but quality digital camera any ideas???

buy it in Singapore.  It will be much cheaper there than in KLM or Thailand

go kl and buy all duty free, singapore and thailand slightly more,ex canon 860 only usd350 retail plus 2 gig card

Thailand - head over the Mahboonkrong (aka MBK) and the 4th or 5th floor is almost entirely dedicated to electronic goods...

Singapore - go to Sim Lim Square or Funan Mall, several floors of camera shops in both

Kuala Lumpur - go to the Low Yat Mall (opposite Sungei Wang), loads of camera shops here too

Do your research online first and get an idea of the approximate price of the camera you want to buy, then have fun bargaining!  In any of these places, if you're the first customer of the day you might have better luck as some superstitious shop owners will agree to a sale just to get the 'flow' of money into their store started...

Most of the malls start opening around 10am, but check with your hotel concierge for more accurate trading times - they can also call and find out for you...
