Is there anywhere to BID on a cruise, if you want to specify a balcony room? I don't care where the cruise goes or for how long, just want the best cheapest deal. Any ideas?

  1. Call Carnival direct.  I have a PVP there that I deal with all the time.  He always gets me the best deals.  Even cheaper than the discount cruise sites.  He also guarantess the lowest price up until the final payment is due.  I always get any upgrades that come along as well. There is a 7 day on the Carnival Glory that was going for $599 on Sept 8 for an inside.  My opinion is that the room is only for sleeping, showering, and dressing.  I always book the cheapest available.  You might also look at the 5 day on the Inspiration out of Tampa.  I have been on that one, and it is very good as well.  This ship will be drydocked, and have all of the latest features by the time you go.

Sept and Dec are usually the cheapest times to go.

  4. That time of year is generally lower in price, due to hurricane season, but, it is a great time for sailing too.
