  1. Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland..you can eat in restaurant every day!Such a great and tasty food....cheap everywhere except capital cities, but still cheaper than in the States..lakes, mountains, great nature, historical towns..Enjoy!

  2. Macedonia, Croatia, the baltic states like Latvia and Estonia are all great value.

    I think you'll find useful info here - http://europe4vacations.com

If you eat like the locals do and avoid the tourist traps then your money should last out just fine

    Have a great trip

    I'm envious

  3. Macedonia...

great land, food, people, ancient places

    Good luck

  4. South -East Europe is the cheapest..Turkey, Croatia, Bulgaria, Greece, then Portugal!

  5. There are ways to get inexpensive trips.   I am going to Paris in July for a week.  The cost for airfare from the U.S. to Paris return and for 7 nights stay at a 4 star hotel including full breakfast is about $760.  Incredible, I know!!   In early March, 4 of us went to Hawaii for a week for $650 each.  (This included round trip airfare from Michigan and accommodations!)

  6. Well, Southern Europe is cheapest.  I think Portugal is cheapest and so is Spain and Greece.  Eating out is terribly expensive, but transport is cheap and always running.  Some hotels are good prices too.  I just came back and the euro is kicking US$ but was able to enjoy my vacation since am a low maintenance traveller. I do like a good hotel, but not the top rated, nor do i need to eat at sit down restaurants.  It depends on the type of traveller you are. I know Spain pretty much so I could probably tell you most about that country than any other in Europe.

  7. The cheapest of all are Ukraine, Poland, Romania, or Bulgaria.  In general, Eastern Europe is a lot cheaper than Western.

In Western Europe, try Portugal, Spain, Greece, England (outside of London), or Italy (except Venice).
