I should point out that Walmart actually has decent prices on 9MM.... I didn't believe it either until a guy at the gun club told me this. Even some of the WalMarts that dont have a gun counter but still have a sporting goods store offer ammunition..... There prices are fairly decent on .22's....

  2. You could try www.buyammo.com

  3. Academy Sports has CCI Blazer 9 mm alum. case on sale now for $7.49 for a box of 50.  They may limit you to 10 boxes but mine said the limit now is for 20 cases per person.

If you want to buy on line and don't live in a few states you should check the prices at Natchez for both.

They have good prices and ship quickly for a reasonable price.

I have bought from them several times.

  4. The cheapest for me is Wal*Mart. Nobody else that I have found is cheaper and I cannot buy online as I live in Crook County IL.

  5. Your local Walmart. Yes.

You can get Winchester USA target ammo (usually refered to Winchester White Box since it comes in a white Winchester box) which is easy on the wallet and performance is awesome for the price.

  6. Wal-Mart.  They still sell 100 rounds of winchester white box 9mm for under $20.

.22 ammo is dirt cheap at Wal-Mart also.  I think I paid about $11 for 550 rounds.

I have tried, but the only way to beat them is to reload.

  7. There are a few places I like to use in my area, but when I order from the internet to make bulk purchases, I would suggest the following places.

    Cheaper Than Dirt

    Midway

    Ammo Depot

    J&G Sales

There are a few others, but I would also strongly suggest that you check with Crossroads of The West Gunshows or TS Gunshows.

When you check their listings for the schedules of the shows in your area, consider checking the ammunition vendors at these locations.  I have a stack of business cards and contacts from these venues.  Mainly because I really dislike paying shipping, and retail prices.  So contacting these folks directly and making the visits to your local gunshows to support these folks will get you some very serious discounts on ammunition.

Just as an example, when I purchase 9mm or .40 S&W, I normally purchase lot quantities of 2000 rounds per caliber.

Same to be said with 7.62x39mm, 7.62x54R, 5.56 NATO, 7.62 NATO, .38 Special, and .22 LR.

There are other calibers that I purchase the components for like .357 Magnum, mainly because I like to generate my own handloads for that caliber.

But the point is, if you will be willing to make contact with these folks they will be willing to make some pretty nice deals with you.

In particular if you mark and collect your brass after your shooting sessions and return it to them for recycling or re-processing in their own businesses.  One of the companies that does this gives me a 40% discount on his products, (including ammuntion), for returning the used brass to him.  By returning the brass to him, this lowers his production costs on his factory reloaded ammunition.  For example, where $9.50 is his regular selling price over the table at the Gunshows, and $12.95 retail, I am getting the 9mm ammo at $5.70 per box of 50 rounds.

The Russian Steel Case Burdan Primed Ammunition, unfortunately they will not take.  Nevertheless, mark it, collect it, and turn the cases over to your local Metal Recyclers for a little extra cash.  Its not much, normally only 5 or 10 bucks per 5 gallon bucket, but its enough to pay for some powder and primers over 6 or 7 of those buckets.

I also mark and collect the .22 LR brass too.  Buckets of this are also taken to the recyclers.  At nearly $4.00 per pound for clean brass, literally every bucket pays for new ammo.  I think it has been about 6 years since I have taken any money out of my account for .22 LR because of this.  It pays for itself.

Anyhow, I hope I have given you some food for thought.

    Good Luck, and Happy Shooting.

  8. For these two calibers my Wal Mart has them cheaper then my local gun shops and the online retailers.

    +1 more for Walmart

  9. i have found internet prices on ammo to be very high compared to those of my local gun shop. for example 50 rounds of 9mm Americian eagle 124 gr cost 9.95 at my gun shop, while the same ammo costs 14-16 dollars on the internet sites ive looked at. call arround at your local gun shops and see what they price ammo at

  10. If you live near a Bass Pro Shop get out there tomorrow August 22. They are having a one day only sale on 9mm Remington UMC 50 round box for $8.88 limit 10.
