  2. Check out the Sandisk Sansa Clip.  It is available in 1, 2, and 4GB capacities for between $35 and $80 and play music, audio books, and fm radio, plus has a built-in voice recorder.  It has a nice bright OLED screen as well, plus really nice sound quality.
