Cheapest way to get into Great America Park?

I'm working full time, and want to go to Great America in Santa Clara.

I don't want to go to the park on a weekend, because there are too many crowds. There is a deal for going after 4pm and paying $30 to get in, but its not much of a discount, considering you can get in for $40 for the entire day if you pay online 2 days in advance.

What should I do?

Are you close? Season pass and the my other though is coke cans sometimes have a 2 for 1 on them.
