Question:

Cheapest way to get to France from USA, summer 2008?

I plan on spending 2 or 3 months in France this summer, flying into Paris. Standard airline tickets are looking way too expensive, anyone have any advice regarding alternative airlines, or any suggestions at all? Nothing is off limits, I would bike if I could! Any advice is appreciated!
