If all the other options are far too expensive I will fly (so any suggestions on good airlines would be welcome too) but would rather get a coach or a boat or trains.

anyone know of any cheap options for around the beginning of July?

  1. Swim

  2. was it top gear who went from london to oslo in the McMerc? lol although i think flying would probably be cheaper than a £325,000 supercar

  3. 2p return, tax included:  http://www.skyscanner.net/flights/lond/o...

Consider also http://www.megabus.com to Newcastle, the ferry to Bergen, then http://www.nsb.no to Oslo.  Megabus often have fares for 1,50 quid with booking fee.  NSB sometimes have 199 NOK "minipris" specials -- even on long trips like the 6 hour Bergen-Oslo line.

  4. Google "Ferries+Scotland+Norway".There are some great deals!

  5. Hi

    check this site:

then click on Norway in the left hand side.

It will give you a few options:

By cruise ferry with DFDS Seaways:  Sail from Bergen/Stavanger in Norway  to  Newcastle aboard DFDS Seaways 'Queen of Scandinavia'.  There are at least 2 sailings each week year-round, from £61 each way per person for two people travelling together, including a private cabin.  Trains link Bergen & Stavanger with Oslo (and Bergen-Oslo is one of the most scenic train routes in Europe, worth taking as an experience in itself).  This is the most civilised and relaxing way to reach Norway from anywhere in the UK.

By train with Eurostar & City Night Line:  Travel by train from Oslo, to Copenhaguen, then to Brussels, and then on the Eurostar service to London. This is the fastest way from Oslo to London  without flying, and departures are daily.

PLEASE CHECK THIS SITE ABOVE, IT WILL GIVE YOU ALL THE OPTIONS! Including prices.

Or you can contact Rail Europe.
