  1. Drive it. other ways such as getting a company to do it might damage your car and you will have to pay for the damage. u may think that the fuel prices will kill u but in the south the prices are about 3 dollars a gallon. it will cost you around 600$ on gas but thats better than paying for a plane ticket highering a driver, rent a truck and pay for that gas.

  2. That is about the going rate.................UJN

  3. call the national moving companies, all household movers transport vehicles

  4. A $1000.00 dollars is very reasonable to the point that you need to ask to see their insurance paperwork alone with their proof of ownership and term and conditions........

  5. If you drive, gas won't be the only cost.  You will also have to figure out where you will stay at night.  A shower and a good night sleep will cost you.  You could just sleep in your car, but do you really want to?  The drive will probably take you at least 4 days (assuming about 700 mi per day which is 10 hours a day at 70 mph. And add to that stops for gas, food, and power naps, construction delays, etc).

If you can do it, drive at night and sleep during the day especially in the summer (less traffic, less heat).  Draft behind a truck to save gas and keep bugs off your windshield.  If you're driving alone, your music collection is going to get old real fast.  Bring some audiobooks to stay sane.

I've done a couple of cross-country drives in the summer but that was when gas cost about a third of what it does now.  Also, I was bringing a lot more than my car (the trunk, back seat, and front passenger seat were completely full.)
