Cheapest way to travel from Honduras to Belize?

I am now in La Ceiba Honduras and want to know the cheapest way to travel from where I am to Belize City. I was thinking about taking local buses but would not know how to continue once at the Guatemalan border. What local buses are there that connect from San pedro Sula for example to Guatemala and then Guatemala to Belize. And if the boat is an option from where. And also is it safe

There is only one land crossing from Guatemala to Belize. You'd have to go North to Flores to catch a bus to Belize.

You could catch a local chicken bus from the Guatemalan border to Puerto Barrios, and take the ferry across Rio Dulce to Livingston. I have crossed from Livingston to Stan Creek, Belize by small boat. It is much cheaper and shorter.

From San Pedro Sula take a plane. Maya airways or Tropic air flys to Belize municipal or Belize international or Ambergris Caye. I prefer Ambergris caye...I will be there on Thursday for the weekend . My favorite place on earth :)
