  1. Don't pull any wire. Have the car scanned for codes. The light comes on because something is not working properly.

  2. I think you should pour oil all over the car, then set fire to it. a fitting end to a pos honda!

  3. Pulling the wire or pulling the bulb will make the (ECM) not work correctly because when you start up a car the check engine flashing and while it is doing this it is checking the complete system.

Have the vehicles computer scanned to see what is going and you might get lucky and it could be something very simple.

  4. sure pull the wire.come on the light is on for a reason.there is something wrong with the car.have it scanned to find out the problem.do not pull any wires unless you really want to s***w something up more.

  5.   Don't pull any wires to turn off the light.  Have the engine checked to see just what the problem is, and then have them turn it off properly.

Or, for about $50.  you can buy the code reader and do it yourself.

If you need an e-check, all of the lights have to be working, bacause they usually turn off the ignition, and when they turn it back on all of the lights will work for a few seconds, and if one is out, the car will not pass, to say nothing of the simple fact the light might just be trying to tell you there is a serious problem.

  6. You need to check the fluids and everything to make sure your not low on oil, anitfreeze etc. then make a appointment with someone to have it checked. To erase the code that is setting the light off you can soemtimes disconnect the battery but if the problem is still there it will come back on very soon

  7. go and see what code it is first.

The computer is telling you something is wrong and no it will not be in the owners manual, it will be in the maintenance manual..
