Check his PHONE?...ever do it?

Do you ever go through your boyfriends phone? I did once...and we got in a huge argument, and I never did again. I know couples who do it secretly. Then I know some who check their phones and know of it...and they are ok with each other checking on it...is that normal nowadays with all the open communication? Or do you think it should be very private and kept secret from your partner?

The reason it's awkward is because you shouldn't have to check his phone.  If you go through it, you are blatantly saying that you don't trust him.  You are calling him a liar.  So it's a big insult to him if he's innocent.

Of course, if he's established a history of lying to you and hiding things, then he doesn't get to be offended by you calling him a liar.  Because he is one, and he earned the title and he doesn't get to complain about the fact that he destroyed your trust.

Yeah I did that before and we also got into a HUGE argument .. little cheating stinker!!!!
