Hi everyone,

I'm really in a rush and my schedule is real tight, so I don't have the time to do all the research for a check list of things to bring for a three weeks trip in spain.

What's on your list of things to put in your luggage for a three weeks trip in an urban environment (hotels and buses)?

Thank you

  1. It's hot at the moment... really hot.  About 35 degrees celcius.

Pack summer clothes, flip flops, sandals, whatever you would normally wear for summer.  Maybe a pair of heels for the night with some nicer clothes for going out.  Pack a swimming costume for Barcelona beaches or if your hotel has a pool.  If you don't plan to wash clothes whilst you are here then you will need a change of clothes for day and night.  Pack all the summer dresses you have as they keep you coolest.  Shorts and skirts can be worn a few times with a clean sleeveless top.

Pack whatever toiletries you use everyday, you can buy everything else you would need here if your forget something.  Sunscreen would be a good idea.

You will not need jeans, long trousers, a jacket, a sweater, a jumper or anything like that.  Maybe pack a pashmina for the plane because the planes get cold.

  2. bring sneakers! please! i went to spain for two weeks, and we did so much walking (historical districts have cobblestone roads) so pack comfy shoes... all of the shoes i had brought were 2-3 inch heels! (what a mistake!)

  3. I usually keep things in ziplock bags, ready to pack quickly.

You need your toothbrush, toothpaste, makeup (female only, I think) hair tools, I have a set of jewelry that I wear most often that I keep easy to reach, deoderant, shampoo and conditioner.

If you are going to a different voltage, you need to make sure you have the right changers, and plug adaptors, etc for anything electronic.

Extra batteries for anything that you want to bring along.  don´t forget your camera and extra "film".  If you are US, check to see if you can even use your cellphone.  I can´t believe people mess around with bringing laptops...I wouldn't mess with the extra weight.  And enough clothes to make it through a week.  Weather there is milder in most parts than a lot of Europe, but as mentioned by someone already, you need to give us a season, and where you are going, so we can help you with wardrobe.

  4. What month?

    Business or leisure trip?

Only Madrid or other cities (climate zones) too?

You have to give more details. Otherwise nobody can give yuo the answer.
