Checked luggage restrictions (traveling Northwestern)?

So I know the limit is 62 inches but my bag is 63 inches

Am I going to have to pay or is it better to buy another bag?

I think they'll let you slide.  Your measurements could just be off a bit; it's very rare that a company makes a bag that doesn't fit airline regulations.
