Checked weather.com for the 14 day forecast for OC MD. It says that next Wed-Sat will be scattered t-storms...

next week is my vacation week there. although sunday-tuesday will be nice is there any possibility the forecast for wed-sat can change??? i was thinking since they are predicting so far ahead of time it might change? do you think it might?

Gave it a quick look on the long range computer generated forecast models, and my best quickie forecast for Ocean City looks to be a good chance for storms on Wed through Thur morning, clearing out by means of frontal passage on Thurs, staying nice on Fri, with chances increasing for more storms on Sat with another approaching low.

    Yes, this can change as the timing of frontal passage and tracks of systems are often adjusted on these computer generated forecast models. They are issued every 12 - 24 hours (depending on which one you use), and small adjustments every 12 hours over the course of several days can mean huge net differences.

    Check the weather again on Tuesday- you'll have a better idea.


  2. I would never change your plans based on scattered thunderstorms, especially forcasted long in advance. Scattered in meteorology terms means that some areas may be dry where others may get some thunderstorms. Generally even if it does storm it won't be for that long, and shouldn't ruin whatever plans you have.
