I am sure to pick chess because it is more challenging than checkers. it challenge the mind of the player. You has infinite strategies to think of. This because your main strategy always being spoil by the foe's strategy. You may need a back up strategy to win. Chess is hard and long time to play. That makes me like this board game.

I suppose I always preferred Checkers....but only because I never could get the hang of Chess! I would love to be a better Chess player, though.

I like them both, but I'd pick Checkers over Chess any day.  It reminds me of when I was younger.  Plus in the time it takes to play one round of Chess, like ten rounds of Checkers can be played... it's less competitive with so many rounds and makes the game more enjoyable.  Checkers doesn't require as much of a strategy as Chess which makes it possible for unlikely opponents to compete.  I saw a six-year-old beat a Chess master at Checkers, and it was a legit win.

I prefer Chess because of infinite strategies you can think of.  Checkers is like tic-tac-toe because there are only few techniques you have to learn to master it.
