Checking card credit question?

How long does it usually take before a transaction is cleared if u use credit instead of debit?? I'm 20..lol...I kinda need to use my card tomm...the purchase was tuesday of this week........I'm with the bank suntrust..

Debit transactions show up faster than credit transactions as it goes thru Visa/Mastercard.

If you are thinking of "floating" a transaction cause you don't have the money in the bank, DON'T.  Credit transaction take longer but you won't be ble to beat it with a deposit.

At my bank it takes about 48 hrs- but the money is already subtracted and shows as pending, the transaction just hasn't posted yet. No, don't play beat the bank with your card. I've done it successfully with checks (which I don't recommend), but NEVER with a card.
