Checking credit reports?

When i check my credit report online it says "we cannot process your request at this time, try again later." It's the second year in a row that this has happened at all 3 credit agencies. Is it because I have no credit history?

  1. What source are you using?  The only web site the FTC recommends is https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/i... there is no fee and you can use it once a year.

You should contact the CRA's in writig or call them to get your credit reports.  If there is a problem they can tell you why you are unable to get your reports.  If you placed a "freeze" or a "fraud alert" then you will not be able to get them online.

    Hope this answers your question.

  2. If you have no credit history, that could be the problem.  If you believe you should have some, give one of the reporting agencies a call and ask.  It should also be possible to request your credit report by mail.
