Okay, I've looked and can't seem to find any clarity. I'm going to Vegas later this week and my room is booked- as in, paid for. The hotel will need my debit card upon me checking in for incidentals. The only thing that I need to know is- will the hotel charge my debit card for any amount of money when I check in? Keep in mind, my room is already paid for.

Thanks

  1. What they will do is "open" a charge for some specific amount.  While they won't actually take the money from your bank account, that amount will be "frozen" by your bank and you will not be able to access it until the actual charges are made by the hotel.  So, if you have $500 in your account, and the hotel opens a $100 charge, you would only be able to get $400 from your account, until the freeze is lifted.
