Cheelokee isn't in the Derby right?

Because I was just on kentuckyderby.com and on the favorites list Cheelokee was on there as like the 7 favorite for one of them and it wuz just updated today May 3.

He didn't have the earnings, but the Lone Star Derby is between the Derby and Preakness and the Ohio Derby is June 2. If the Preakness isn't in the cards then one of those two races could find him in the gate. If a "monster" emerges from the Derby, he may be looking at one of these other "softer" spots.

As I understand it, the colt apparently has developed some minor foot problems, and his trainer, Michael Matz, has decided not to run him in the Derby tomorrow. I read that Chelokee is being aimed for a possible run at the Preakness, or even the Ohio Derby on June 2. We will have to wait and see with this one.

No, Chelokee isn't running.  He ended as #21 on the list, but actually his connections didn't even try to put him in the derby.  Apparently he has some minor foot problems.  He was working out last week when his rein broke, so he ran an extra mile before they could get him to stop.

That person probably turned in his list before he knew the field...  even if the website updated it yesterday, the list could have been days old.
