  1. Ok i have been a cheerleader three times. The number one thing to do is smile and have a positive attitude and when you mess up keep going dont even act like you messed up because they will never know and all the times that i have been a cheerleader i don't even know how t odo a split. but the thing where your feet land first is called a roundoff. In a toe touch you really aren't suppose to touch your toes my high well going to be my high school coach taught me that. If you need to know more contact me at sammyw94@yahoo.com

  2. I know they judge on your personality. So try to be happy and positive. You need to be loud when cheering but clear. Don't worry about the flexibility, just be bubbly. Also, try to wear something cute but don't over do it.

    Cheer your heart out!

  3. well try outs shouldn't be that hard in 7th grade

so just make sure that you memorize all of the tryout material

and you are loud and very bright and happy at tryouts!

and since it is a new school

they won't have many guidelines or requirements

so just make sure that you are willing to learn and put the time and effort forward and make sure they know that too

    good luck

    ps

that thing with your feet together is called a round off

  4. when doing cheers, project your voice. smile! because you're a CHEERleader :D

and as for toe touches, just practice as much as you can. Practice clapping and locking movements (like high V's and the such)

also, if you want to be a flyer, try putting one foot in a high heeled shoe and balancing on it. It helps if you find a place straight ahead of you to focus on.

just practice and perfect the things that you already know. good luck!

  5. First of all good luck. Judges look for stiff arm motions, beautiful smiles, and above all spirit. Stretch everyday. Do 2 sets of ten kicks on both sides. Practice your jumps, keeping your back straight and pulling from your abs. Keep practicing your round-off (that's what it's called.) This will give you extra tumbling points. Above all make sure your routine is clean and fun. If you make any mistakes during try-outs, that's ok. Just keeping going or ask the judges may I try that again. Good Luck
