Cheerleader help?

i would like to be a cheerleader but i cant do backflips and stuff like that. i used to dance and was very flexible but i havent danced for about 2 years now and i lost my flexibility. what can i do to become one? please help!!!

  1. go out for gymnastics camp thats what im doing! but im not training to be a cheerleader although when i get to highschool i probably could be one, but idk... tryout is my only advice!!!!! and if you dont want to do that just stretch and try to teach yourself tricks (with a spotter!!)

  3. Stretch lots.. Say when you get up and when you go to bed..(it's good for like..stress and gets you relaxed and stuff so a bonus right there!)......

    Get help from a friend to work on doing backflips and all that stuff...

    If you don't know anyone who can do them already look it up on the internet and get someone to learn it with you... (having a person with you makes everything so much easier...)...

  5. hey. if ur trying out for a school and theres a jv squad u prob. won't need any tumbling. all u would really need is gud jumps and lots of energy!

    skills for jv and/or varsity:

    jumps:toe touch, sides ( or herkies depends wat ur squad calls it) and a front. some squads also use pikes but they're rare.

    tumbling: u will more than likely need a backhand sprain either standing or round of backhand sprain so ask the coach and get into tumbling classes. a private lesson will help alot! after dat u can start working on back tuck, layout, pike, half, and even full. (search on youtube to see wat it is)

    to cheer u need to be loud and confident! if ur not confident jst fake it! make sure u have gr8 facials. see bring it on for pro. facials. if u dnt fell stupid wen ur doin facials then its not good enough!! also get close to the squad. it would relly help to talk to them so they can help u. cheerleaderz r very friendly! the most important thing to do is strech everyday!!! it will help you ALOT with ur jumps mainly and everything else. hope i help and gud luck @ tryouts!

  6. I think so. Only two of the cheerleaders at my school could do a backflip. Although u still need to be flexible.
