Im a freshman in high school and I made the Varsity Cheerleading Squad ( I am 1 of 2 freshman that made the team ) The thing is there are 20 girls on our squad and only 16 can compete.... I have a feeling because I am so young I will not be able to compete in competition... This has been my dream for a very long time... Any advice?

  1. if you don't make it you still have 3 more years to...

  2. First of all congratulations. You should practice a lot every day.Take gymnastic classes to built your muscles. But it's your first year so if you don't compete don't get disappointed!!

  3. i had that same problem! except i made varsity in 7th grade. but i got to compete!

Here are some tips that helped me:

-drive, dedication, and passion. do NOT give up

-practice a dance for 1 hour everyday [new dance every week even if you have to make up your own]

-take gymnastics classes. public and private

-get together with the one of the upper classmen on the squad and pratice stunts, dances, gymnastics, and cheers.

-get on the trampoline! it helps you with jumps and flips.

-go to the gym at least 3 times a week. you'll build muscle you need to lift people.

-do yoga. it will help control stress.

    good luck!<3
