  1. It depends. Flyers on teams like world cup can be up to 140 lbs! NO JOKE. They are all muscle tho and muscle weighs more than fat. If you can hold your weight thats all that counts. For high school flyers its probably 100-125.

  2. its not the weight that determine's whether or not you will be a flyer necessarily.  it is how well you can fly if you are a good flyer than w/e your weight is shouldn't matter

  3. hmmm 100 pounds or less

  4. there's a flyer on or cheerleading team who weighs 130, she's all muscle. if you're eating healthy then someone your size should be between 110-115...no more than 120

  5. light.  if you're the smallest on the squad then just don't gain any weight.  i weighed 85 and i was 4'10, then again i was in 6th grade.  you're in between the heights of a flier and base.  just eat really healthy till the season starts for good

  6. im 5 foot and 90lbs. and im a really good flyer =]

    soo around 100 lbss.

  7. Every flyer is different so don't change your weight in order to stay "small enough" to be a flyer. If you are super-light for your height, great. But if not, don't worry about it. I know plenty of flyers who were pretty solid girls and not the tiniest girls out there. A lot of squads have flyers who are actually bigger (taller or weighs more) than the bases. In reality, a lot of good flyers aren't the smallest girls.

One girl I know was about your height and weighed a good bit more than the "average" flyer (which, according to some, would ideally be around 100lbs, depending on your age and squad). But, she was an awesome flyer and did a lot of the work herself. She ended up going on to fly at a big university.

Flying isn't just about how much you weigh, but about what you do with that weight. If a girl weighs 90lbs and doesn't pull any of her own weight and just sits there and allows her bases to do all of the work, she's not a good flyer. It will be hard to lift her and it'll seem like she weighs several times her own weight. So, if you really do a lot of the work (like keeping your weight in your arms and pushing off when loading and pulling yourself up when in the air) you will be as easy (or easier!) to lift as a teeny tiny girl.

Size doesn't make a flyer. Ability, strength, and control do.

I was a cheerleader for 14 years, including at the collegiate level. I was also a cheer instructor for a cheer company and a coach. So, I've seen flyers of every size and shape. Good luck!!

Note: There is another user who asked a similar question so you might want to refer to the answers she's getting. I did post a very similar response (it's pretty much the same) because I feel that it is a valid answer for both. She should probably look at the answers you're receiving as well..

  8. it depends on your bases

  9. im a flyer for level four . i weigh about 90 lbs . im really small but im full of muscle ! l0l and muscle weighs more than fat... so id say our biggest flyer is about 120... and shes amazing ! hahaaa<33333
