Cheerleading: how to backspot a double down?

Do I catch like a regular full-down? or does it depend whether or not the flyer opens up?

Catch and cradle just like a regular full.

The first few times you try your flyer might not get fully around and she could land on her stomach, just catch her anyway you can if this happens. (Bear Hug)

Once she gets the hang of it she will probably keep her arms in and the way to catch her will just come naturally. Really though, until she can open up catch her anyway you can without letting her hit the floor.
