Hey guys i just wanted to let you know that cheerleading IS a sport. I take classes with my bff Tyler ( likes to be called Ty) At GymCheerUsa. I dont mean the "were number one not number two were gonna beat the woops outta you" kinda stuff cuz that stuff isnt even CLOSE to cheerleading. If you think cheerleading ISNT a sport...Try doing this:

  1. Finally someone agrees with me. I'm so tired of arguing with people about cheerleading being a sport im like hello i've been cheering since I was 2 .. So, how are ppl that have never done it before going to judge it .. ya know ..?

heres a look at my team:

  2. I agree!! I have been cheering competitive for 10 years and I love it. It makes me so mad when people tell you that cheerleading is not a sport. We pratice and work just as hard as anyone else.  I know I have had my share of hospital visits from cheering. One of my friends was in disbelief of cheerleaders until i took them to a cheerleading competition. They couldn't believe what it was actually like. Now they tell everyone all about it. Cheerleading is by far the best sport!!

  3. "You people"...are you sure you are actually addressing everyone here. It seems more like this is meant for a different group of people...I dunno, maybe for the jocks at your school?

The AllStar Cheer is obviously really competitive and takes athleticism. I know some of the cheerleaders at my school who do All Star who break fingers and have all sorts of injuries. Those competitions are also really intense and require training and dedication. It's obviously a sport.

But the pep squads, the Cheer Leaders who are at football games and all that...that's not a sport. They just move their bodies around and scream real loud...nothing I didn't already know.

  4. First off, for those people who think that cheerleading is just shaking ur butt and yelling cheers and stuff, shut up and listen.

i know that some football boys think that cheerleaders are just girly girls that just stand there and look pretty u r WAY WRONG. if u think that cheerleading is so easy then get 11 foot ball players or soccer players to do a pyramid or do a cradel or do a whole routine. 3 to 2 girls catch and throw 1 single person into the air. plus they have to look pretty in doing it. Cheerleaders actualy do stunts that could kill them.

so yeah it definetly is a sport,

and 4 the losers who say that a sport is a thing a team vs team well'

put on espn2 cos oMg!!!! there are things called OMG!!!!! cheer offs u idiot a duh

  5. NO IT'S NOT A SPORT!!!!Yeah you lift people with the help of 2 or 3 other people. People can die and get parlayed doing any sport not just cheerleading (which is not a sport). Try doing a real sport like soccer or lacrosse. If I had practice I probably could do all the stuff cheerleaders do and so can anyone. I wouldn't anyways because I prefer doing gymnastics (which is a sport) and hanging around whining cheerleaders.

  6. I totally agree. CHEERLEADING IS A SPORT!!

  7. Wow, I think your taking this a little to seriously. Wimps lift weights, cheerleaders lift people. K, i think that competitive cheerleading is a sport, but your totally turning me off. First of all, just cause your die and risk your life doesn't mean its a sport. Second of all cheerleading is a sport, but your making it sounds like its one  the hardest sports out there, try gymnastics or competitive x-country, before you start complaining about how cheerleading is a sport.

  8. It's a physical competition.....like those Dance offs....but I really wouldn't call it a sport.....don't get me wrong...it takes a lot of training and physical aptitude.....but then so does Pro Wrestling and they admit that's not a sport.

  9. Alright people have died/gotten paralyzed flying on planes. Does that make flying on planes a sport? No. It doesn't. And yes, cheerleading takes athleticism, BUT that's only for real, like elite cheering. High school cheerleading and stuff, it's not all that hard. Any joe-schmoe could do that. So, no it's not a sport.

  10. I agree.

I tumble, I don't cheer specificly but I do all the stunts and stuff.

    comeon.

someone who can flip in the air, ITS AWESOME! it's like flying!

hey, if gymnasts do floor stuff and are in the olympics, I consider it a sport :)

    ahhh.

I just went to practice yesterday too :))))
