I have been a competitive cheerleader since the 4th grade. Now I'm in 9th grade and I made the cheer team at school. I've never cheered at a game before, only competitions! Can you help me out? What's different between them? And any advice? Thanks! :)

  1. Just don't let any of those dudes touch your body.

  2. I love doing the toe touch!!!!!!

hahahaha it's really great that u made the team!!!!

The routines r pretty easy and since ur in the 9th, u wont do very much stunts, but mostly dance moves=]

  3. You'll be doing chants and cheers on the sideline (protect your voice by yelling from your diaphragm), and probably stunts, dances, and jumps as well. The biggest difference is that games are looonnnngggg. Prepare yourself mentally for that. (Yes, comps are long too, but you are just sitting around for 99% of them.) At games expect to get really hot or cold, and occasionally soaked to the bone. And no matter what the weather, expect to be tired at the end.

    Good luck with school cheer!

  4. Well obviously you are not competing with anyone! Ha im a cheerleader too and i do A LOT of games like football and basketball. There's people watching you so that is the same! Not very different, but you have to stand A LOT and you do short cheers, not a long routine. It's fun, not bad! :-)

  5. nothing is diffrent a bunch oh mostly brainless girls yelling  at people
