Cheerleading!?

Question

Who here is a cheerleader??....and what squad do you cheer for?...and who thinks Cheerleading isn't a Sport and why??...cause im a cheerleader and im sick of people saying its not a real sport!!...andi just wanted to know why people feel that way!

I am a cheerleader

I cheer for Cibola High School in AZ

I think its a sport just because we shed blood sweat and tears like every other sport.

Also a lot of our injuries are worse than some other sports.

If it's a competing junior high or high school squad or an all-star squad I think its a sport.

If it's one of those GO TEAM!! squads or the ones that just do stuff without their heart in it or the ones that just kick yell and do the splits then I dont think its a sport.

Its basically gymnastics dance and yelling all put together lol

I was on a cheerleading squad for four weeks when I realized it wasn't a sport.

It's clapping your hands together and doing the splits while middle-aged men imagine you naked.

i am a cheerleader.

people dont thinks its a sport because they have never tried. the ignorant believe that its just clapping and shouting. they dont know all the hard work that goes into the stunts, tumbling, and flexibility. while sideline cheering may not count as a sport [due to lack of competing] competition//allstar cheerleading is definitely a lot of hard work. it takes skill and drive.
