Cheerleading stunting?

At cheer practice this morning we threw a basket toss toe touch. we have done them many times but for some reason today when we threw her up, she came back down on either my head or jaw. i honestly cant remember if she hit my jaw and it just radiated through my head or if she actually landed on my head. I fell the the ground and my head was KILLING me. I went to school right after that happened (we have practice in mornings b4 school) and it would be ok for awhile and then start hurting and make me feel really dizzy and hot. Is it possible I could have gotten a concussion just from that or could it be something else? I just got home and its pounding!

Also my eye hurts and feel like its been punched, but im not sure because i wear contacts and they've been bothering me lately. Thanks!

  1. I used to be a varsity cheerleader and injuries happen.  You can get seriously injured from the tosses and such (broken bones, concusions, sprains, and lots more).  I would call your parents and get to a Dr. Do not go to sleep.

  2. It sounds like you may have a class one concussion, which is the most minor one you can have. Symptoms of concussions include dizziness, loss of short-term memory (not being able to remember the accident clearly), headache, blurred vision, loss of conciousness, and/or nausea or vomiting. You seem to have everything but the puking, so I would say you should go to the doctor. Here's a website to tell if you should go or not:

I would advise going though. It's better to be safe than sorry. Hope this helps! Good luck!
